Hi,
I am at a loss as to why Blackmagic player doesn't allow for easy quick preview of files rather than opening the files to view the footage. I don't want to always open and close my files before I can see what footage I've got for my edits. It is sooooooo time consuming, and even more annoying is the fact that just scrolling between the files to see a still image of what the footage is often takes a few seconds.

I know the files may be big but sometimes it happens even while just scrolling through much smaller files. It is frustrating and I hope that someone can tell me there's a trick that I've been missing all along.

Any tips on how to preview clips quicker please?

Resolve. Even the free version.

Resolve can show thumbnails of BRAW, which you can even scrub.

Hi, Yes I'm aware. My point is that there needs to be the ability to press play directly on a thumbnail clip without always having to open the clip or checking it in Resolve. Even better is to add a functionality to scrub a thumbnail on a PC's file window but I understand that may be pushing it
