DeckLink Studio 4K not working on Monterey 12.2 Hackintosh

PostSun Feb 27, 2022 12:59 am

Hi guys,

I'm running MacOS Monterey 12.2 on my Hackintosh and I cannot get Desktop Video to see my Decklink Studio 4K. I have confirmed that it works on two separate internal drives (MacOS Catalina & Windows 10). I have also confirmed that it is being seen by the computer via IORegistry. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, going back a version, and even deleting the kexts in Terminal as has worked for others.

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Thanks,
Harry

My build is Z390 DESIGNARE | i9 9900K | RX 590

Same issue here on a MacPro 7.1 with Decklink Studio 4K Extreme and MacOS Monterey 12.2 "no Card installed". Back to 12.1 - works fine so far.

I tried the Morgonaut fix, which was helpful a while ago on another CMP (thanks!). But it didn't fixed it totally now, leaving me clueless... So I scraped the internet ;-)

I can say that this was very helpful:

My card is now recognised by Desktop Video 12.4 on a Classic Mac Pro 2012 with Monterey 12.5.1.

Hooray!

Hi Digital Surgery, does your card work normally in an editor like Premiere and Resolve?
My card is recognized, works in Blackmagic Media Express i.e plays out to SDI monitor, audio and video hardware is recognized and configurable in preferences of Premiere and Resolve but won't play out SDI to the monitor, audio is fine - however when I switch back to finder, the current image, where the playhead is parked, is displayed on the monitor. Switch back to editor - no output to monitor.

I'm on a OpenCore Legacy Patched cMP 2009 5.1 running Monterey 12.6.2
Any ideas?
