The device is actually kind of an digital to analog converter.
It lets you see the scanned DPX-files on an RGB-monitor.
As found in the engineering manual:
“Another 100-way connector carries the data to a monitoring box where it can be viewed on a progressive scanned monitor. The same data is also passed to a PCI board”
Which leads to the next question:
Has anyone knowledge of the PCI-board which lets you input the DPX-files into a PC?
The connector has to be the 100 pin connector seen on the device.
