Recently picked up a BMPCC 6KPro and didn’t noticed I had toggled on the off-speed setting while on location for a talking head shoot. We shot for three hours and the resulting footage is now out of sync with our audio. Trying to fix it in Premiere but every time I try a solution the audio drifts.

Had intended to shoot 29.97 (Project FR) but the off-speed was set to 33FPS.

Please tell me there is a way to fix this.

There's a hard way. Drop your footage into a timeline with the intended fps value and let DR do the correction of the video with one of it's re-timing algorithms (faster or better).

Export the original audio as a separate track (but keep the original, out-of-sync audio as a guide). Now it's working in smaller chunks and deleting short pauses and/or adding short pieces of room-tone to correct sync.

And, yes, IMHO it's a design flaw that the HFR button is too close to the rest…

For the audio side, RX9 can timestretch the audio (you have to make the calculations, but it should be faster than doing it by chunks). Or maybe trying with ableton live.

Correct, but you'll still need to fix the sync by eye and hand.

Even if you record the project frame rate with off-speed enabled the sync will drift which is why it needs to be synced within each cut. Granted you'll want to "sync" the source audio and video as much as possible before edit but there's no single action that's going to make it right all the way through. The answer is likely both methods, "faster" sailed when the HFR button was pushed.
