Teranex Mini SDI to Displayport 8K w/ LG 27EP950 or 32EP950

Posting this here for others in the same position or future me forgetting the workaround:

When trying to use the Teranex mini SDI to Displayport 8K HDR with LG 27EP950 or 32EP950 OLED monitors, and attempting to display unusual framerates (ie 48 fps), from a source that only supports outputting DCI 4K (4096x2160). The Teranex mini will only output 4096x2160 @ 23.976/24 fps.

Since the monitor's EDID indicates it can receive 4096x2160 @ 24/23.976 (even though it's a UHD monitor), nothing you can do will convince the Teranex to send 3840x2160 @ 48. Instead, it just drops every other frame and sends out 4096x2160@24. Ideally, the teranex menu would give the user either customized EDID options, or just simply the ability to tell it to prioritize frame rate over resolution.

The workaround is to get an active displayport to HDMI converter and plug that into the teranex mini (we had success with the cablematters DisplayPort 1.4 to 8K HDMI Adapter model 102101) and then connect the monitor via HDMI. This either disregards the DCI edid or re-orders the list of supported resolutions transmitted to the teranex so that it actually behaves.

Obviously this is a corner case, and one potential solution is just to use the HDMI version of the teranex device, but as we don't have one to test, we have no idea if this would work.
