Desktop Video - Output Blanking

PostThu Sep 29, 2022 10:07 am

Is there a way to apply blanking to the feed coming from a Desktop Video device like an UltraStudio 4K, Monitor 3G or 4K Mini?

I am aware that Resolve, for eg, you can apply blanking in your project, but in apps like FCPX and Premiere you can't do that afaik - the only way is to apply an overlay image/crop on the timeline/sequence. This option is fine for when I am deep into an edit, but while I am reviewing the rushes from the browser on my video and client monitor there isn't any blanking applied.

So I am hoping there is way to apply it directly to the output. Or maybe this is something I should rather send a feature request for?
