Hi there!
I need help. I have a setup which doesn't work for some reason. I have a nice editing/colorgrading- room where I have a 86inch LG 4K HDR screen for the client about 7 meters from my workdesk.
So a HDMI cable from my Mac Pro to the TV would be too long. So I came up with this setup:
HDMI out (Mac Pro 2019) -> short 8K HDMI Cable -> BlackMagic Design Micro Converter (HDMI to SDI 12G) -> 12G HD-SDI Cable - BNC to BCN 25 meters -> BlackMagic Design Micro Converter (SDI 12G to HDMI) -> short 8K HDMI Cable
For some reason, I can only send 1080p to the TV. When I change the signal to 2160p, the TV isn't showing the picture.
Can anyone help me out? I believe with this setup everything should stay 4K right?
Just to be sure, I have test HDMI cable out of the Mac Pro 2019 into a 4K screen, and that worked.
Thanks in advance!
