Just wondering if BMD have any plans to introduce 12G to the UltraStudio range for the Thunderbolt Recorder and Monitor interfaces.
I appreciate that heat may be a concern with such small boxes. However, the Micro Converter boxes, which are essentially the same size, seem to be fine as far as thermals are concerned at 12G, even the bi-directional interface.
It sure would be pretty awesome if we could go up to 4K/60 with the small UltraStudio boxes. Which I personally find to be one of the most reliable pieces of post equipment I’ve ever bought. I just love it when something does a specific job perfectly and is completely reliable.
