Micro-Converter SDI to HDMI

PostWed May 24, 2023 7:41 pm

I am having trouble with my application of the Blackmagic SDI to HDMI MicroConverter. This particular device has an SDI In as well as an SDI Loop Out, along with an HDMI out.

Here is my setup:

I have a mac-mini sending out a video via SDI to a tv (approx 40' run). At that tv, I have my first micro-converter, and that tv displays my output just fine. From there, I have another cable run (approx 50') to another tv utilizing the SDI Loop Out from the first microconverter going into another microconverter and tv.

The problem is that the second tv will not receive the display. I have deduced that it is something to do with my cable run (either the cable or the ends), because when I connected the two microconverters with a pre-made SDI, it worked fine.

The cable I am using is a Plenecon RG-6/U Type CATX Coaxial. https://www.fullcompass.com/common/file ... aSheet.pdf

Can someone help me determine what my problem might be?
