Hi,
We use mini converters to add audio (from a desk) to SDI.
One of them has done something very strange. With high levels of audio (like laughing) the sound output on the SDI became distorted and robotic. Once the audio drops back to lower levels the sound is fine.
We replaced the unit with a spare, it solved the problem.
Multimeter suggests the mini power supply is OK.
I have plugged the mini converter into a PC and run converters setup (v8). It prompts to update to firmware - and says it works, but if you connect and disconnect it prompts again. so it does not seem to take the update.
Unit is well out of warranty. Any ideas? or just bin it?
