I think it should work if your render from DR9 directly to a new folder in your mxf

Avid Media files/mxf/n... it can be 2 if you only have 1. So export there and export your new aaf from this files to the mxf folder, so then open avid and it will rescan folders and then import that aaf and it should link to the files from resolve.

I hope i'm not wrong and that can help you!!!

yeah I know...that's why you save your renders directly into mxf folder. I hope it works. You render with a unique name file and then you export your aaf so it must work :)

I'm having the same issue. Did it ever work for you? I've tried everything I can think to try and it's not working.

Are you exporting a AAF?
Does your AAF have (Resolve) in its file name?
Is that the aff you are importing to avid?

We have this issue. We discovered two workarounds.

1. Add black at the head of the timeline in resolve (to me it seems like if you export as a single file, resolve is appending some kind of metadata from the first clip in the timeline to the rendered export).

2. Render as a single mxf file in resolve. Then import that file back into resolve and use AVID AAF Roundtrip to render that single file out. That Avid AAF Roundtrip seems to create a different set of metadata and seems to play nice with avid.
