Subtitles don't appear in rendering and final product

Hello all!

I have made a video from an interview of a sculptor.

For better clarity, I transcribed the interview in text, with the use of the DVR Studio functionality, and edited them, so that all the interview contains subtitles mirroring what the sculptor says.

I did a trailer, of 2 minutes, and 5 clips of approximately 3 minutes each, to be connected through a play list, all of them with their respective and relevant subtitles.

The problem is that, when processing the rendering, DVR 18.6 simply "forgets" to take in account the subtitles : they do not appear on the screen indicating the progression of the rendering, and consequently are not part of the final mp4 file.

Did anyone experience this issue, and could solve it?

Thanks in advance!

Jean-Christophe

You have to choose the right settings in the subtitling menu of the Deliver page.
What you probably want is burn-in.

If subtitles are not appearing in the rendering and final product, check the subtitle file format to ensure compatibility with your video editing software. Verify that the subtitle track is properly selected and enabled during the rendering process. Confirm that the subtitles are positioned correctly on the timeline and synchronized with the audio. Ensure that the subtitle file is not corrupted and contains the accurate timestamp information. Check for any software updates or patches that might address subtitle rendering issues. If the problem persists, consider re-adding the subtitles or trying a different subtitle file format. Reach out to the software's support community or help resources for specific troubleshooting assistance.

One important point is timecode. If you get subtitles from another source, they usually start from zero.
DR's timelines start at 1 hour by default . Change that before importing the subtitles.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I'm having the exact same problem...

Please describe step-by-step what you are doing to get subtitles.
Do you want them burnt-in or as separate files?
