AMA Clips won't consolidate during AAF export process

PostFri Mar 15, 2024 4:44 pm

The issue is while exporting to AAF from an AMA timeline, the export process does not consolidate those clips and therefore it's the multi-essence error. IS there any way to fix this from export settings as opposed to transcoding the entire timeline before exporting to AAF? Further, is DNxHQX the highest quality codec available for AVID and therefore appropriate to send to a colorist? There was a different error message for an attempt to export the AAF with the media appearing next to the AAF as opposed to embedded within it: this said there was an issue of disparate frame rates, for which all the clips had to be transcoded into the project frame rate (23.98 fps). Could that be the underlying issue that is prohibiting the AMA clips' consolidation during the AAF export process? Is there any way to solve this besides transcoding the entire timeline within AVID, before exporting to AAF?
