DeckLink with PCI expansion case

PostMon Apr 08, 2024 10:26 pm

I have the BMD DeckLink 4K Extreme 6G card, and I want to run it off my M2 Mac Studio. I would need to get a PCI expansion case. Is there anyone here that has done this? I was thinking of getting the Mercury Helios 3S. I want to send the signal to a ASUS ProArt Display PA279CRV 27" 4K HDR Monitor.

I have not tested it myself, but other than for eGPUs, there are quite a few reporting success.
The site egpu.io might be a better place to ask about it.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Hi

I have used a DeckLink 8k Pro installed in a Sonnet box Model:
eGFX BREAKAWAY BOX 650, connected by Thunderbolt to a Laptop PC, it works fine.

My 2 cents.

He has a Mac with Apple silicon, though.
I have used that same box for years with Intel.
