Decklink 4k Extreme BANDING with 444 output!

PostFri Apr 12, 2024 2:09 pm

Hi

I have a Decklink 4k Extreme 6g (driver 10.9.5) outputting only a 8bit and banded picture when I select 4:4:4 in Video format output settings (when outputting 4k or UHD). It is fine in 422. I am selecting 10bit output.

This is not a huge problem as I can just output 422 and it is fine! (as the 10bit then works)

I am using Resolve and can't be sure if it is a hardware or software issue.

I checking on Flanders XMP310 monitor and double checking on a UHD TV

Is this intrinsic to the card? I didn't think it a limitation of 6g but maybe I am wrong?

I didn't find out this to recently when I did a PQ job and 8bit is simply very bandy with PQ. So it was very noticeable.

thank you Michael

Sorry I am selecting 10bit when I choose 444…

I suspect this is simply not possible with this card on a single HDSDI?
