Ultrastudio 4k Mini vs Media Player 10G

PostFri Apr 19, 2024 4:30 am

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone from Blackmagic can elaborate on the differences between

a) The Ultrastudio 4k Mini, and
b) The Media Player 10G

The (obvious) differences that I see:
US4Km has XLR audio input, Analog Video Inputs, Analog Audio Inputs, HDMI input, Sync Input
MP10G has a 10Gb ethernet output, plus Monitor, and Desktop Outputs in both SDI and HDMI.

I'm more interested in how they work, for example, can we use a MP10G in Resolve, for HDR Output, with an SDR Output on Output 2?

Can the SDI Input be used as a Clock source on the 10G? Can the unit sync to NTP via the Ethernet input?

Basically assuming we don't need the Analog inputs, can the MP10G serve as an replacement to the US4Km?

Cheers,
