Capturing Audio From Internet to Mac

When I capture video from the internet using Quicktime's Screen Capture feature, the sound portion is useless as the Mac's mic picks up my room ambience. Is there a way to capture audio "internally" on the Mac to get clean audio. I've checked all the setting in Quicktime and can't seem to find an option for this. Is there an app other than QT that could do this?

Hello there.
A free and very well working solution is Blackhole.
https://github.com/ExistentialAudio/BlackHoleWith it you can route your sound a bit more easier.
For a commericial options there's Audio Hijack with Loopback for more control.

Thanks, Petter. When you say Blackhole can "route" my sound a bit more easier. Do you know if, in fact, it's even possible for any app to capture the sound before it reaches the Mac's exterior speaker? That's the problem I'm having now, Quicktime is capturing the sound as it leaves my Mac's exterior speak. Again, my situation is where I must play the clip online and am trying to capture it as it plays. I've searched Quicktime's capture setting and there is no way to route the audio any other way. Thanks, again. I haven't done a lot of capturing other than video so any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi
It's quite well described in the guide if you follow the link for blackhole.
Install it, route the output audio to Blackhole 2ch and then in QT you set the Blackhole 2ch as input and record it.

Thanks, I'll give that a try!
