Export Stops At 52%

Hello!
I've got a 21 minute short film I've been editing for a few months, intermittently exporting for notes and posterity. I'm a couple sessions away from completing it and when I tried to export, it stops at 52% every time. I've tried changing formats, resolution, duplicating the project and exporting and nothings working. I also made sure I had space on my hard drive and tried resetting my macbook pro. Any idea what I can do?

Hi Devin

When the export "fail" / stop, does Resolve display an error message ???

I remember having a problem exporting a project, but I received an error message showing the exact frame number on the timeline where the export stopped.

So there was a problem with that frame (a glitch in the original clip  ). It was fixed, and the export DONE

I hope help.

Check the timeline at the point the render stops to see if there is a gap there. Also make sure you don't have a range selected ( the grey bar just below the timecode ruler) where there is an out point at that location. You can either extend the range to the end or click Alt+X to remove it. You could also try reducing the render speed in the File tab of the Render Settings.

Worst case, create a new project from scratch and paste the old project into it, using the same timeline settings (res, aspect ratio, fps, color science, and so on). See if that works better.

One strategy to find an issue is to export in parts. Try to export the first half of your project. If that succeeds, try to export the other half. If that fails, divide that half again and try. So you will be able to narrow down the part likely causing your issue.
