Connecting clips from more than one harddrive

Hi - I've been having trouble with connecting footage from more than one source. I'm working on a big doc with lots of footage, and it won't fit on one harddrive so I'm working off of two.
When I set up the project everything linked up well, wasn't getting disconnected, but once I introduced new footage from another drive all of the footage from Drive 1 would go offline, I connect footage from Drive 2 and Drive 1 footage goes offline.
I read that you can go to the Media page, select media, right click, and hit "change source folder" and this worked for the footage, but audio is being stubborn and won't online. I've tried unlinking/relinking, changing the source folder, restarting the computer, and just can't get this audio online. When I unlink/relink it shows the media path too, and if I go to import the files from that location they import and are online.
Please help!

The going offline thing shouldn’t be happening. Since you’re on a PC I’m guessing you’re getting different drive letters assigned each time you plug your drives in.
Are you removing one drive and attaching the other? Or perhaps attaching them in opposite order?
Not sure why sound is behaving differently.

As Joe says, if you remove a drive and connect another Windows will give it the same drive letter. Try having both drives connected at once.
The Media page will list all your connected drives, folders, and sub folders. Clicking on a storage location will open a finder like window to view the contents. You can just change the location by clicking on it. Clips can be dragged into the Media Pool or you can right click on a folder and choose what you want to do from the context menu.
As to your audio only clips what bit depth and sample rate are they?

Thanks Joe.
So I've got both drives connected at the same time. I haven't changed their location since importing so the letter that's been ascribed to the drives hasn't changed.
Sample Rate: 48000
Bit Depth: 32
What's bizarre is that I can right click and make all clips offline, and when I relink the file path repopulates (to what it was before) but still shows audio clips offline.

Would you make a screen capture video of this with you narrating as you go and link to it here? YouTube is a good place to host it as this forum handles youtube links automatically.
Watching what you do and what happens is usually faster and more explanatory than a big block of text.

Hey Joe,
Here is a link to a YT video showing issues with relinking:

Watched your video. I hope people from BMD like Dwaine and Peter watch it as well.
Didn’t realize you were using a cloud project. I don’t use cloud yet because I’ve seen enough issues about it on the forums that I think it’s not yet reliable. Might you try this as a regular local project and see if the issues remain?

Hi Joe - sorry for the late reply.
I did end up saving a .drp and opening this project locally.... and sure enough was able to relink files. I haven't gone through yet to relink everything and see if it remains online, but this is disappointing if the problems are a result of the cloud-based project.
