Decklink Quad HDMI RECORDER forces 1920x1200

PostFri May 09, 2025 12:47 am

Decklink Quad HDMI RECORDER is always forcing 1920x1200

I even connected 2 HDMI to a 5080 using one display port to hdmi adapter and the other hdmi,

On nvidia I try a lot of resolutions and most of them always detect on Blackmagic desktop video setup as 1920x1200
On obs there are black bars around the top and bottom.

If on obs i Force to 1080p i get black image. Ive tried creating a custom resolution with 59HZ nothing is working.

I dont know what to do anymore. Ive read a lot about this and i see people comenting a EDID emulator? Im lost. I just want a simple thing. I want this capture card to detect a completely well known resolution.

Ive tried restarting pc as well. I Tried so many things and now i am here to ask for help because i ran out of ideas.

Also tried on obs as a blackmagic capture device and a video capture device. And also just updated to 14.5 , I was on 14.1 . but nothing helped , on the same pc I also have a decklink 8k pro and those SDI connectors let me change settings in the app, but HDMI I cant change any settings. PLEASE HELP

I still need help with this.

To overcome the aspect ration being wrong, I am outputing 4k image that has the correct racios. but it seems that the image does not stay at 60hz / fps for long. it starts to lose frames. at 1080p it was stable.

Its unreal such an expensive device not working a simple thing.

This started happening when upgrading to a 5080 from a 4090
I also have a 3090 pc sending 1080p signal that is detected correctly.

Right now i reported both NVIDIA and blackmagic about this issue, I don't know who is at fault.

If you check the specs, the card doesn’t list DVI (RGB) at 1920x1080, only 1200. Maybe try YUV? Nvidia has a configuration app that typically works upstream of Windows display manager.

Good Luck
