8K (4320p) Recording with Decklink 8K Pro G2

Looking for real world experience with capturing via HDMI on the Decklink 8K Pro G2 at 4320p60. I would like to build a CPU box as cost-effective as possible; yet has the necessary power for the task.

The Decklink 8K Pro G2 records in 4320p60 in the "Uncompressed" codec only so I would assumedly need to capture to locally-attached NVMe but curious other's thoughts.

I'm thinking either a microATX board with a fast Ultra 9 processor unless that CPU is overkill.

Is RAM or even GPU important for this kind of capturing? Is the Decklink 8K Pro G2 handling all of the processing and just pure speed to storage is most important?

Thinking outside the box - could a new Mac mini M4 with a Echo II DV box handle what's required?

Actually adding to this after a little preliminary research. Mac with a Thunderbolt to PCIe box probably won't work as it will need to be minimum Thunderbolt 5 to get proper PCI Gen 3 x8 Lane speeds. If a Thunderbolt 5 to PCIe box exists, it's probably more expensive than a PC build.

I imagine I'll need to opt for a Xeon or Threadripper workstation CPU instead of i/Ultra to get enough PCIe lane support due to needing to run a GPU, the Decklink, and some striped NVMe SSDs for storage. GPU @ 16x, Decklink @ 8x, and NVMe PCIe adapter @ 16x = 40 lanes required; much more than the consumer CPU chips typically only supporting 24-28.

From what I gather, Uncompressed 4320p60 will need 5.56GB/s minimum storage speed. So I'll need to stripe at least 2 Samsung Pro 990's on a PCIe 8x or 16x adapter.

But again, curious other users' experience and recommended hardware specs.
