I would love to see that feature too. Unfortunately Edius is still kind of a closed architecture. So we can't do anything directly.
Things are slowly evolving, seems to be that Grass Valley does a little work to open it up, but then stalls a little bit.
If this feature is really important to you, contact Grass Valley and let them know!

I already asked GV but I always had answers unclear
Here the answer is more complete
I imagined that the blame lies with GV
thanks

after almost 6 months I go back to ask the same question there is a plugin also an unofficial activate the preview from the EDIUS timeline? I'd hate to give up one of the two I like edius and I also like the video quality of a board intensity pro simple with great potential

Edius has been tied to proprietary hardware since it's inception. This was the case all the way back to the Canopus Rex system circa 1995...way before Edius. Josh is quite familiar with the line.
It was a major step when GV opened up the ability to capture by way of the Intensity products. Other decklink cards will capture, but only the Intensity line is officially supported.
The main reason Canopus used proprietary cards was stability. Edius is stable and smooth. I have had Rex series system, an NX system, I am currently using an HD Spark with my Intensity Pro on one system and a Storm 3g and an Intensity Shuttle on another. They co-exist quite well.
As to future developments, only time will tell. You can ask but you will get the same answer each time. This is due to not knowing or those who know are under NDA and cannot tell.
By the way, this has been addressed several times on the GV Edius forum.

I wanted to update this thread:
The Intensity Pro/Shuttle, and the Decklink 4k Extreme have been tested with Edius 7 and work for both capture and display. Before purchasing a card to use with Edius, I would visit the Edius forum or contact Grass Valley for confirmation of compatibilty.
I am running an Intensity Pro on one system and my Intensity Shuttle on the other. Both work excellent with Edius 7.

is more than 2 months that came out Edius7 certifies that the products are fully compatible with Blackmagic and actually work well but in this site there is no reference to Edius7 among the supported software, maybe come out of the drivers who will certify the compatibility with Edius7 ?
I have an Intensity Pro that works perfectly the only problem that you create and that prior to the compatibility with Edius neglected is the output in SD is only 4:3 I hope in a future update to be able to see even in the 16:9 'output from the timeline of Edius

My output from Edius is in 4:3 or 16:9 depending on what my timeline settings are. Sounds like you are not using the right timeline settings in Edius

Edius used for years and know very well the settings in my Intensity pro all the material in SD only comes out in 4:3 this also happens to Media Express
how to set the Intensity in the control panel?

You have to manually set your TV screen to either 4:3 or 16:9 depending on your timeline setting. BM can't change this as there is no widescreen flag to auto change your screen on analog SD output, but the output is still 16:9 on a 16:9 timeline. The reason you don't have to do this on HD is because HD uses square pixels whereas SD uses non square pixels and there's no way to tell a screen what aspect the pixels are I've been building editing systems for 14 years and just tested it on my systems here and in Edius if your timeline is 16:9 then the output is 16:9.

I have a samsung screen and since I happen to work with both 4:3 and 16:9 material I set the automatic
the material always comes out in SD 4:3
the material in HD 16:9
from what you say is a problem "normal-"
it would be nice if the output would have to act automatically based on the material would be enough maybe a firmware update

It's not possible to use 'Automatic' on SD footage as there's no flag for it to know if the footage is 4:3 or 16:9
