Scopes in Resolve read different than Ultrascope

This drives me nuts.

Got a pocket Ultrascope hooked up to my workstation, but the scopes show different readings than the build in Resolve scopes. Any ideas?

Resolve scopes are always data level, so 0-1023. Ultrascope is looking at the SDI out which might be at video levels 64-940/64-960.

Data or Video Levels, doesn't mater, the problem keeps the same, just different scaling.

here is my setup:
Resolve>Data Levels or Video Levels>Decklink>via SDI>HDLinkPro3D>Dreamcolor.
The Ultrascope is also connected via SDI to the HDLink, and yeah I tried to hook it up directly to the I/O card - no difference, that rules out a problem with the HDLink.

No LUT anywhere in the game, scopes are all at 100%

Here is some screenshots:

Resolve scopes, shadows bareley touch zero

UltraScope: below zero

Classic color bar on Resolve vectorscope - way off the targets

Same colorbar on Ultrascope almost perfect within the targets

Hey Frank

In your Resolve scopes, turn on the reference levels indicator in the waveform display, Low at 60 and High at 940 ... think those indicators should line up with the Ultrascope at 0% and 100% ... should be correct I think.

Cheers
Andy

The scopes in Resolve change when I turn on 4:4:4 SDI - but with that setting UltraScope doesn't work - catch 22
