timeScale in IDeckLinkOutput::ScheduleVideoFrame (DeckLink A

PostMon Sep 29, 2014 9:03 am

Hi,
I've had a good look through the DeckLink API document, and the example code, but am unable to find details of the BMDTimeScale timeScale parameter.
The VancOutput example has kTimeScale = 25000

If anyone knows, please can they let me know what value this actually represents?

Thanks,

I know this is a very old post, but it ranked highly on Google when I was wondering the same thing.

The time scale is to let you determine the precision of time that you're interested in. A value of 1 will return second level resolution, a value of 1,000 will return millisecond, and a value of 1,000,000 will return nanosecond resolution.
