Linking grades with multiple edits

PostTue Nov 27, 2012 5:52 am

Hey guys

I am working on a feature length show that I have almost finished grading . This is currently the "Directors cut" and the longest version it will ever be . There are a few other versions planned, shorter than this .

My question is, once I have conformed the other edits, is there a way I can link grades to the new conforms so that the work I did is carried across to them ? Or will I have to grab stills from every shot and go through and apply the grades manually ?

Thankyou for your time

Hi, this is the standard and default mode of operation for Resolve. Grades made on one timeline are reflected in the master timeline. when you add a new timeline it refers to the same source clips thus gaining their grades. You can opt out using the color page thumbnail right click to 'Use local version'
