Intensity Pro wont capture in FCP 7!

PostWed Nov 28, 2012 2:44 am

Greetings! Ive been able to do this in the past but now cant: In Final Cut Pro 7.0.3 I am trying to capture video from the HDMI input on the Intensity Pro card. Ive got a Mac Quad Core Intel CPU running OS 10.6.8 and I Installed Blackmagic_Desktop_Video_Macintosh_9.5.3. In the SystemPreferences I made sure the input was HDMI video and RCA audio. The live video source is my Mac Laptop which has the correct adaptor cable and is spitting out a signal to the Intensity Pro card. All I get is a black capture screen and some audio buzzing. Conversely I am able to play clips in FCP and they show up on my HDTV (client monitor) via the "HDMI-out" port on the Intensity Pro card. I cant figure out what has changed. I have spent hours on this. I tried a second laptop with a second HDMI cable as a video source to the card. I reseated the card. I uninstalled the BlackMagic driver and reinstalled it. Is there a firmware issue? Help!
