Hi guys
I have a high end DVD player there TASCAM DV-D01U. I also have it plugged into a Blackmagic ATEM 2. The settings I have on the ATEM 2 switcher is set to 720P 50Hz. I have tried plugging the DVD player via HDMI directly into the switcher but I have had no luck. I have tried using a Blackmagic Mini Converter HDMI to SDI into the switcher but again no luck.

As soon as the DVD player is plugged into the switcher, the options on the DVD player are only PAL 576P and I. But I need it to be at 720P 50 to get it working into the switcher

I have tried Gefen High Def scalers and no success.

Has anyone been able to connect their TASCAM DVD Player into an ATEM 2? Or any other DVD player? Any solution is welcome!

Thanks!

I have the same problem, my Tascam DVD DV-D01U doesn't work with ATEM switcher, even though I do have the DVD player set with all the same standards as the switcher, and also tried with a Decimator standards up/down/cross converter. The DVD player works fine plugged straight into a monitor or TV.

DVD players use HDCP and will not work with an ATEM.
