help with install on CentOS 6.3

PostMon Dec 10, 2012 9:15 pm

I am trying to install DeckLink HD Extreme 3D on a linux computer running centos 6.3.

$ lspci
02:00.0 Multimedia video controller: Blackmagic Design Device a121

$ lsmod |grep blackmagic
blackmagic 459762 0

and /dev/blackmagic/card0 is present.

I install the desktopvideo and mediaexpress from Blackmagic_Desktop_Video_Linux_9.6.7.tar.gz, but I am not able to stream any content with mediaexpress.

I am new with both linux and blackmagic, any advice would be helpful. thanks

I don't know if your problem is the same as mine, but when we installed on CentOS 6.3, we were not able to get frame data from the card until we added "pcie_aspm=off" to the kernel line in /boot/grub/grub.conf and rebooted.

Check if the firmware is up to date:
BlackmagicFirmwareUpdater status

If it needs update:
BlackmagicFirmwareUpdater update 0
