Decklink HD 3D

PostThu Dec 13, 2012 10:01 am

I bought this recently because it's cheaper then the Decklink Extreme 4K.
Though in the future there might be work in 4K, would it be possible to ad 4K capabilites to the Decklink HD 3D? I mean, it has two 1.4 HDMI connections, if they could stream at the same time maybe it's possible?

I know that the Red Projector specifications mention 4K through multiple HDMI connections, would that be possible?

Hi,

I'm afraid that the HD Extreme 3D would not be able to support 4K. For the bandwidth of 4K we had to develop a whole new card.

The HDMI ports on the DeckLink HD Extreme and 4K Extreme consist of an input and an output. I don't believe it would be possible to use both as outputs. The HDMI 1.4 standard allows 4K over a single cable, and this is what we will support, along with dual 3G-SDI.
