Still getting dropped frames with Full Res Premium

PostWed Jan 16, 2013 3:44 pm

Whenever I try to export Red footage on Full Res Premium I will get random dropped (black) frames in my export. There are no dropped frames in playback, and no issues during the color grading session. I've tried numerous formats, including DNxHD and DPX and ton of different combinations of settings. The only thing that seems to work is dropping my resolution to half res. I've even submitted my problem with footage to Blackmagic and there is still no solution.

I'm using an XML to get my footage into Resolve. Everything works without a hitch until the export.

These are my Specs:
Windows 7 64 bit
Intel i7 3.4 gigs
16 GB RAM

GTX 570 310.90 drivers

Davinci Resolve 9.0.4 lite

Has there been any development with this issue? It's been a very frustrating glitch to deal with and I feel like I've pretty much exhausted all my options.

I get the same thing but it seems to happen only on 3k footage for me..

See this thread I started on RedUser:

*EDIT problem still there for me at half resolution.

Sounds like you've got the 1.5gb gpu ram 570. You need more than 2gb ram to reliably render large frame sizes.

The project I am currently testing this on is a 3k project mixed with DPX.

I can confirm that the 9.1 update has the same problem although at a much lower frequency. I rendered out the entire project with only 1 frame dropped.
