XML > Premiere Pro 6 fails miserably

PostThu Jan 17, 2013 7:22 am

Hi

I'm trying to export a project from Resolve 9.04 to Premiere Pro (originally came from PPro) as an XML.

When I import the XML into PPro, clips are mis-connected (ie. they connect to the wrong shot), are cut short or completely missing.

Tried importing the same XML into FCP7 - same problems.

Then tried importing into Resolve itself, same problems.

I'm assuming something was weird in the original PPro XML that I imported into Resolve.

The edit is perfect in Resolve, I wish there was a way to export a "clean" XML with just the edit from Resolve as it is now.

Or is there something else I can try? I don't want to have to spend hours manually rebuilding the edit!

Cheers

What kind of footage is this? Make sure all clips have good timecode and a reel/tape name assigned.
