SDI in and out won't work at same time.

Using Decklink Extreme 3D. Going in and out to and from DvcPro HD deck via SDI. When only the SDI out is plugged into Decklink, I can export to tape. If SDI in is plugged in from the deck as well, the out signal will not go to tape. Obviously this is a pain because I have to have both at different times and would rather not have to mess with the cables. I have a black burst connected to both deck and decklink, but it makes no difference. Any ideas?

That's odd,

What software are you using to do this? In both Premiere and FCP7 you need to have the intput and output connected in order to insert or assemble to tape as it relies on the intput from the deck to allow you to cue up the deck.

Can you check to make sure that the input is set properly in the control panel, obviously you'd want SDI in and out set.
