What and all hardwares i need to buy

Hey Hi,

Im planning to open complete Edit suite.. so that i little confused on upgrading ma systems... planning to buy Blackmagic products so that can any one tell me what and all hardwares i need to buy for my suite... NLE only not Online Editing...

You'll need to supply a bit more information!

Depends what you are trying to do!!

Mac or Windows?
Portable or desktop based system?
What NLE software are you planning on using?
Will you be using the system for anything else? ie Resolve? After Effects? Motion? Photoshop?
What are you outputting to? Files only or to tape, if so what tape?
Will it be connected to a network? Shared storage or purely local?
Will you be capturing to internal drive? What format?

If all you want is NLE, if you are capturing on SD cards, you just need the computer!

Desktop Based
ll b using for Motion pictures
outputting will be files only
Purely local network only not shared
yep ll be capturing to internal drive only HD format
Capturing ll b from SD cards only
Going to put FCP n AVID

I think you should hire a professional consultant to come visit your suite in person, and discuss your needs in detail.

I agree with Elliot, but sounds like you don't need any BM products specifically, unless you want monitoring, which am guessing you do. Mac wise, probably top of line fully specd imac but again depends exactly what you need.
