I have an imac. It does not have usb 3. i do have a firewire 800 port. Will the Intensity Shuttle thunderbolt work with Apple Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter?

any help will be appreciated!!

Nope, it will not. It would need to have Thunderbolt.
