resolve 9.1 play still shows black

Any still I want to play shows black.
Customer will be here in 30 mins.

It's likely that you don't have a proper Stills path selected. Are these stills you are grabbing right now in the project, or stills from a project that was previously done?

You can see where the Stills path is currently set to in Project Settings / General Options / Working Folders area, under "Gallery stills stored at:".

The first scratch disk in the preferences was a directory I didn't have write access to, from another user.
After changing that it works!
