What format to export out of Premier to bring into Resolve

PostThu Mar 07, 2013 5:21 am

I can't get xml, edl, or aaf to work, even when removing all the effects. I'd like to export out of premier and use scene cut detection to bring into resolve (from what I've read, its not easy to export individual clips out of premier).

I'm exporting out of premier as a quicktime, DNxHD codec, but the gamma gets shifted. (in 709 color level). Looks like rgb works though. Whats a good codec to export out of premier?

XML export from Premiere to Resolve works just fine here. Seems to be a problem with your setup.

If you're on a Mac, Prores 444 should be nice and simple. Are you monitoring on the same Rec709 monitor in both Premiere and Resolve and it looks different?
But really, XML should work.
