Resolve Split Conform from Flat Media file

PostTue Sep 04, 2012 7:08 pm

HI there, guys.

Need to solve this workflow issue: Using R9b3, when trying to Split and Add into Media Pool I only get 24fps & 30fps conform options. I'm working in 23.976, and subsequently when I S&Add import it does not create a new timeline. (*see screenshot).
Master Project is set to 23.976, and so is the flattened media file I'd like to get ready for grading.

To backtrack, here's what I'm going for, but open to any advice on this one:
Shot on FS100 (AVCHD). Cut in Premiere6 without having to convert media to Pro-Res. Then send flattened file to Resolve from PPro as a single ProResHQ render, splitting the clips on the edit points to grade in Resolve9. What's the best workflow for Premiere/Resolve these days?

You certainly should use XML if you can. If you are using the scene cut please make sure the conform rate is set to the correct frame rate prior to adding the clip to the scene cut tool.
