Intensity Extreme with Protools 10

PostThu Sep 06, 2012 8:43 am

Hello everyone
I was wondering if anyone could help me with how to record/Split videos Or How to use Blackmagic intensity extreme for dubbing while using Protools 10 for Recording.
I just bought this I.Extreme on my dealer's recommendation but he doesn't seem to have any idea about it.
If i capture a video on a video camera, How do i transfer it to iMac and what should be my further steps for Dubbing and finalizing that video?
Your Response would be generous.

As for using ProTools they do the certification of devices. So you'd need to check with them but I don't think they have certified the Intensity Extreme at this time.

If you want to simply capture footage using the Intensity Extreme with an iMac you can use the included Media Express software.

From there you just need to Install the drivers, connect the device via thunderbolt and run media express. Make sure the input on the Intensity extreme is set to what you want (component HDMI, etc) via the control panel. Set the video input resolution through preferences in Media Express.
