i7 3770K (OC'd) with GTX 580 3GB Workable for HD / 2K?

I'm trying to build a home system that is mostly for practice and trying out new looks in my own time.
I don't have a big budget so trying to do it as cheap as possible but with real time playback and control reaction times. I have Resolve on my MBP pro but unusable as any movement on control panel has an unacceptable delay till you see the change. Hence the need for a Desktop Hackintosh.
Has anyone used Resolve with a 4 core i7 3770 with a Nvidia GTX 580 or equivalent high end card?
