Suggest HDMI audio extractor for 5.1?
Posted: Mon Apr 16, 2018 2:38 pmI am looking for a reputable hdmi audio extractor splitter to place between a decklink mini monitor 4K card and the grading monitor to extract and monitor 5.1 tracks while grading.
While there are a plethora of such devices available up to 4K on sites like Amazon that range from dirt cheap to whatever you like to pay, it makes me nervous to place one of these in the path of my critical color monitor. Seems like a fine place to introduce unknown color artifacts if the internal circuitry is not a simple pass-through.
Anyone have any suggestions or experience with a particular brand they like?
