Ultrastudio 4K questions

I'm looking at the Ultrastudio 4k for a small screening/mixing theatre that will run Avid MC and Pro Tools.
I intend to de-embed the audio [stereo, 5.1 and 7.1] from the SDI output and send it [AES/EBU] to a Dolby CP750. I'll use the HDMI output to feed a projector, and work will be HD and 2K [Scope and 185.1], with potential for UHD in future.

1.Do the SDI and HDMI outputs work simultaneously?

2. If I input an additional source [laptop] via HDMI, how do I switch output [SDI and HDMI] between that source and the app running on the Mac Pro [Media Composer or Pro Tools]? There's no video selection button for the Thunderbolt port.......

3. Does it make any noise?

Nigel, I can't answer all your question, but I can answer your last question about noise.

I have a Ultrastudio 4K sitting on my desk for evaluation and I am astounded by the noisy fan inside.
Hot air blows out from the side, so it seems this unit needs adequate cooling.

Because of the noise alone, I am sending this unit back.
I can not imagine using this device in the same room as where I am sitting. I think that the Ultrastudio should be installed in remote places, prefereably a cooled rack.
It is not something to keep closeby.

One just arrived, and it doesn't have an IEC [power] lead in the box!
