Hello everybody,
we operate the Intensity Pro 4K as a simple client playback monitor for AVID and Premiere Pro via HDMI. Blackmagic Desktop Video software used is the latest (11.1). At this special workplace we use a SONY BRAVIA KDL-32W655A screen.
Unfortunately we do not get a 1080p25 signal from the Intensity to the BRAVIA.
Depending on the timeline output signal these are our results:
1080p25 → doesn't work / message on screen „Unsupported Signal. Check your device output.“
1080p24 → works fine
1080p50 → works fine
1080p60 → works fine
1080i50 → works fine
1080i30 → works fine
So nearly any other signal works. What makes us crazy is that the BRAVIA according to its specifications can easily handle 1080p25. And indeed, a direct 1080p25 HDMI-signal from one of our cameras is also displayed correctly. Is the 1080p25 signal from the Intensity Pro 4K something special? It just doesn't work.
Of course we tested another screen (EIZO CG318 4K) and it worked perfectly with 1080p25.
But we want to avoid spending extra money if there is another way.
Has anyone ever had this problem and possibly a solution?
We often edit 1080p25 projects and then have to do it without the external monitor. There's a workaround to cut in a 1080i50 or 1080p50 sequence and change settings back to 1080p25 at the end, but that's not very useful.
Unfortunately, there's no way to set the output of the Intensity Pro 4K to PsF, that would be a good solution.
Thanks in advance
Matthias
