HELLO ALL,

I have recently been getting this hangup on "checking licenses" when booting up resolve. Any answer to solve this problem? Sometimes I get it and sometimes I don't.

Having the same issue on both 9.1.6 and 9.1.5.

Running full dongle license on OSX ML 10.8.4

Hangs and then force quits itself. Only resolution I've found is to pull the dongle and plug it back in. Pretty annoying when your machine isn't sitting right next to you. Is there a chance the dongle is bad? How would I even check something like that?

Not sure if v.10 will fix this issue, but delivery deadlines won't allow me to wait until it is released.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Jason

The only booboo I can think of it is that the USB lost it's connection with the dongle. can you somehow eject and "search" for it? So at least you do not have to physically take it out...

Computer restart doesn't help? Haven't had the issue myself so just thinking out loud..

A restart does help, but man what a pain. Just now I was working in Resolve. Closed and tried to reopen the app, and it hangs again, although it was just working.

SUPER FRUSTRATING!

If you have a USB drop/disconnection/you plug disks, it might change the virtual address of your USB dongle and not finding it anymore.

Did any of those occur?

Seems like it might be related to this:

How many peripherals are running off your USB ports?

Had the same problem. Fix it by reinstalling my Mac OS (10.8.4) .
