Mini Monitor 4k & Premiere Pro

PostFri Jul 12, 2019 11:06 am

Hi all,

I've just purchased a Mini Monitor 4k for my Windows 10 PC to use with Premiere Pro and have encountered the following problem. 90% of my projects are still cut and delivered in 1080p, but often using 4k footage. When I playback from the 1080p timeline the card works great, but if I try and view the 4k rushes in the source monitor I get a black screen. I've since been told that this card cannot downscale from 4k to HD via SDI. Can anyone please confirm if this is correct - and if so which BM card can do this.

many thanks in advance

DeckLink 4K Extreme and the older DeckLink 4K Pro can both do that.
Ryzen 5800X3D
32GB DDR4-3600
RTX 3090
DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G
Resolve Studio 17.4.1
Windows 11 Pro 21H2
