Dear Forums,

16.0 Studio works fine.

16.1b3 Studio hangs during startup - splash screen says loading waveform monitors, nothing happens and eventually the OS suggests force killing or waiting.

After reinstalling 16.0 I have to blow away $HOME/.local/share/DaVinciResolve - luckily I have my "Resolve Projects" somewhere else on the system.

The log from the 16.1b3 Studio hanging startup is attached, if its useful to anyone.

My system:
Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS
Kernel: 4.15.0-65-generic x86_64
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz
16GB RAM - 2 x Corsair CML16GX3M2A1600C9
GeForce GTX 1070 Ti DR - NVIDIA 430.50 drivers
Intensity Pro 4K - 11.4 drivers

Hi Mark

Just add a symbolic link (as root):

Code: Select all
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ /usr/lib64

After that all worked fine with Linux Mint 19.2 which is based on Ubuntu 18.04

Hope this helps :)

Cheers,

Dieter

Confirmed to be needed with the release version of Resolve 16.1 on Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS, and fix confirmed to work.
Thanks. :)
