16.2 won’t play in any module except media

I have installed and removed this new version twice and had to go back to the 16.1 version because in 16.2 when I try to play a clip it stutters along at 1-2 frames per second , this happens in edit, fusion, colour, and Fairlight.
If I look at clips in media I can play them or scrub through them but no other module.
This is studio version and I have no issues at all in the 16.1 version
Any one else having this issue?

I have just updated my card drivers to latest studio version of 442.19 but they unfortunately that did not fix it either.
I have created a support ticket and await their reply so I can send in a log file for inspection, but I am not holding my breath for a quick responce based on previous interactions with online support.

BMD just posted an updated 16.2 (build 55 - the original was build 54). I've just installed it and the slow playback issue appears to be fixed.

Thank you Steve, I had noticed that but I have not heard from them except to ask for more info, I’ll see if the contact me first I tired of all the removing and installing

NP. It might be worth uninstalling 16.2 build 54 and installing 16.2 build 55 just to verify that this fixes the slow playback for you. Depending on what BMD changed the solution may not work for everyone so that feedback is important.

Build 55 made the difference for me. I don't know what's different (nothing in the readme as far as I can tell) but it's working now for me.

Windows 10, i5 3rd generation, 16GB RAM, GTX 1060 6GB RAM

16.2 build 55 fixed the problem of slow playback for me. too.

How do you tell it’s build 55? All I see is the download from last Friday which was the faulty one?

The new download has worked for me as well, thanks for the heads up from one and all.

Now to try to find out what’s new and test drive the features.
