Full Screen Preview bug 15.4

PostWed Jun 20, 2018 1:47 am

On most recent beta 15.4, While previewing video on full screen mode if I push escape while video is still playing it will not allow me to go back to color tab or editing tab. It introduces a big version of the preview window and stays there. Force quit is the only option to exit out of it.

The most recent beta is 15b5. Does the issue happen in that?

Hi,

I have the same issue with cinema viewer (full screen on 1st monitor) on 15.5 and Windows workstation and therefore downgraded to 15.4 where the issue doesn't appear. The issue seems to be independent from specific activity but always appears when in continuous replay runs and the tool bar was automatically hidden after threshold time.

Hi,

I did not have a problem with full screen in 15b4.
Now in 15b5 I do.
I work on single monitor. Windows 10.

Now, not very often, when I hit CTRL+F I enter fullscreen mode, but the preview still remains small, centered, without any controls visible. Davinci seems to be working fine, apart from the fact, that I cannot go back to the regular interface, so the only option is to shut it down from the task manager.

I have this problem too in both the latest and the previous beta.

A couple of different ways it happens.

First, I go to full screen using CTRL - F. Works fine. I can exit out using the same command.

However, if I hit the play button to pause it first, it goes into the can't exit without task manager bug.

Same thing if I hit the full screen icon on the bottom right.

There seems to be a few different things that cause it. I know I hit a different key combo once but wasn't paying attention so didn't catch what it was (I'm sometimes a tad clumsy ;) ).

This should be addressed in the next release.
