Can not update to 16.0b.028

PostFri May 24, 2019 1:54 pm

When I try to update either from within the DaVinci Resolve Studio, or with the DR closed, the window pops up saying the resolveinstaller.msi is on a network drive that is inaccessible.

I am on Windows 10, latest updates, 24 GB RAM, 4GB GPU Nvidia 1050 Ti

Does anybody have a clue what causes this problem and how to cure it?

Download the .zip to a local drive, unzip it to that same drive, click the .exe.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I have the same problem.
Unzipping and installing from the unzipped installer does not solve it.
Resolve can also not be uninstalled.

You're using only Internal drives? No network or removable drives?

That is correct. I do however install Resolve on the Partition "d" not on "c"

I can see that as a problem.

It's generally good advice to leave My Documents and Program Files in their default location on the C: drive. It's better to get a larger C: drive than to move those things.
