Adanced 4K workflows -GPU

PostFri May 24, 2019 2:17 pm

With more and more use of the GPU in Resolve 16 (edit, color, fusion, scopes etc,) as well as the numerous reports of "GPU Full" and I've been experiencing quite a bit of system lockups even without the GPU Full error once the vRAM get's close to filling when monitoring in GPUz.

Obviously the fastest GPUs and multiple GPUs can speed up the workflow, but for 4K media is 11gig enough for advanced workflows? Denoising, color grading, heavy VFX compositing in the Fusion, etc, is it worth looking in the RTX Titan or going even further to multiple RTX6000 or RTX8000.

It's amazing how fast some of my workflows are even with 2 GTX 1080's until everything just crawls to a hault and I need to restart my computer completely.

Is anyone running these newer higher end RTX systems successfully ?
