Hello!
Urgently need help!
I worked at Davinchi Resolv 16 Beta. Now it has been uninstalled, and the projects have not been exported.
I put version 15, but I can not find where the projects are stored. What are their file extensions and save paths?
Where can my projects be stored and how to restore them?

You can't use Resolve 16 projects in Resolve 15.

When you install Resolve 16, it asks you to upgrade the database. Once that's been done, there is no going back to 15 with any of the projects that were in that database.

When you reinstall 15, you'll see that database listed as non-compatible with the installed Resolve version, and you won't be able to see any projects in it.

That's why it's critical to make a database backup and/or project export .drps BEFORE you allow Resolve to upgrade a database, if you want to have a way to go back with the current existing projects.

So, i dont understand anything...
I did not made backup before uninstal because 16 crashed on starting and just remove 16, try to install 15 - no result, and install 16 again.
I dont see any projects, but on hard drive present many files on path:
D:\DaVinci\MEDIA\CacheClip\7c978d48-3bce-4dc0-b3c9-6ec7bd1026dc\02d7b582-2f74-4f57-ae2f-2702924c6a88\8092f360-6eec-4707-8447-80a98a00c0c9\c7a828af-4b1a-499a-ad4f-58ed13704293\SourceOne
and many other.
And there in file Info.txt is name of project:
Database Name: Local Database
User Name: guest
Project Name: NGL Drysh
Can i restore my project from that files? Or some alternative ways?
It is a pity, because I worked on some projects for a long time.

Based on the file names you list, I'll assume you are using Windows 10.

The file names you list are cache files and have nothing to do with the project data, so no, those won't help you at all.

The default location for the Resolve Disk database for Resolve 15 (it changes in 16) is here:

C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\Resolve Disk Database\Resolve Projects

And specifically for the guest (the default user) projects themselves:

C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\Resolve Disk Database\Resolve Projects\Users\guest\Projects

In that Projects folder will be a folder for each of your projects. As an example, there would be a folder called NGL Drysh for the project referenced in that Stills Info.txt file.

If you have that Projects folder, it hopefully has your projects in it. If you don't have that anywhere, then it would seem you've deleted the project data somehow at some point.

Uninstalling Resolve (using the Control Panel - Programs and Features panel right click Uninstall) will not delete any of your existing project data or settings, because the uninstall does not touch the C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve folder where all that is stored. Only if you manually deleted that folder would you lose all your Resolve data.

Understand and restart work from begin.
Totally that story started from not starting Resolve at Waveform monitor loading. I have the same problem now an new clean Win 8.1. It`s mysterios....

In a File Explorer window, go to:

C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve

and run CaptureLogs

This will place a Resolve log file named similar to this on your Windows desktop: DaVinci-Resolve-logs-20181228_140434.zip (You may not see the .zip extension if your system is set to hide known extensions).


Then open Windows System Information and do a File - Save (Not a File Export), which will generate a .NFO file.

Place both those files on a file sharing site and provide links to the files here.

I am using AMD Radeon R9 390 on Intel I7. Maybe this does not work correctly with Davinchi Resolve? Previously, I used AMD R7 370 and everything was fine.
Then please tell me a list of similar video cards that will work well?

Try the Radeon Adrenaline 18.12.2 or 19.3.2 driver, and use the clean install option to install it.
